Meet the Galaxy A6 & A6+

Galaxy A6
This new lineup is turning heads.

When holding these phones, it’s impossible not to feel déjà vu. This is due to the fact that the Galaxy A6 and A6+ sport all too familiar features. On one hand it’s similar to the Galaxy S9 while slightly imitating Huawei’s P20. Armed with Samsung’s signature Infinity Display, the Galaxy A series are ready to impress. The Galaxy A6 sports a 5.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED screen and the A6+ has a 6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen. There’s also a fingerprint sensor on the back and face recognition software to add more security.

Under the hood, the hardware is equally impressive. Both phones run Android 8.0 and come with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. Users can pick between 32GB or 64GB of internal storage that can be augmented with a Micro SD card. While the A6 is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery, the slightly larger A6+ has a 3,500mAh battery.

This is a good looking phone.

By far the most advanced features on the A6 and A6+ are the cameras. The A6 sports 16MP front and back cameras that have adjustable LED flash and low-aperture lenses. The A6+ has a 24MP selfie camera and dual 16MP and 5MP lenses on the back. This dual camera setup allows users to enhance photos with Live Focus mode.

Another plus on this pair of phones is the speakers. Both feature speakers that are supported by Dolby Atmos optimized audio. This allows users to activate the Dolby Atmos affect, which creates moving sound. This flowing sound immerses users in music, audio and videos.

At the end of the day, Samsung did a fantastic job with these phones. Both the A6 and A6+ are great alternatives for those who want a quality phone at an affordable price. While they are currently only available in Asia, Latin America and Europe, they will soon debut in other countries. If you are looking for premium features and a friendly price, there’s no reason to pass up these phones.
